I got these two frags a few weeks ago. I have to say that the colors are amazing. My bazooka joe chalice looks like cr#@ comparing to these pieces:)

Awww, be nice to the Bazooka Joe. They need extra love and patience. ;)

I agree. The Acans are sweet. But the Bazooka Joe just needs to grow some to show it's true beauty.

Jabol nice pieces... now where is Grisha! lol

I agree with Jabol, Acans have much better colors than Chalice. Many Chalice look great when under tons of actinics but then again what coral does not? Most Chalice photos are taken under actinics or tons of Photo Shop only a small percentage look as good as they do in the photos. Jabol has posted one of the few true photos of a Chalice....

Thats your opinion. I just sold a Emerald Mummy Eye frag to a guy that said it glowed under sunlight, literally in the parking lot, and it did. There are alot of chalices that glow without actinics, at least as many as there are acans. I love both but to say that they are all photo'd under actinics is just not right.

Of course its my opinion. The only fact is that I like Acans better and was agreeing with jabol.

Well I guess then I'm disagreeing with both of you and IMO there are great colors in chalices without actinics.

I did not say all of them, I said that most were Photo Shopped. Many coral glow in natural sunlight. I have seen zoas that look nuts in natural sunlight and then in 20K they only look average.

Ok what ever dude. You just said that most chalice pics are under actinics or photoshopped. Which I thought was a bit over the top.

Fonda your BJ is looking good. Mine is growing very well and I would not trade it for and acan but that just me.

I have yet to see an acan in person with color that can match any of the watermelon chalice corals. Maybe I don't get out enough.

FWIW My pic was taken under 400 MH 20K XM. No actinics or photoshop.
20k...actinics... close to the same thing... its blue light also.. and far from natural sunlight.. atleast when i walk outside the sunlight im seeing isnt blue... and i like acans better also... so many colors and way more different types...

Ok so now everyone needs to change out their lights to 6500k lights?

Again I love how people express their opinions as fact.

single polyp of acan will look very nice, but the chalices look a lot better as a colony on the other hand. I just can't wait to see how my MH chalice will look like when it becomes a colony.
