Hey guys I got a few small acan colonies and just notices that they are all looking the same color. Some that were orange with green are looking reddish withe almost no green some pink ones are looking like a dark red to burgundy? Don't know what's going on. All open up and eat very good when I feed. Is it normal for them to change color? Should I be worried? I'll look for some pics and post before and after pics.

Acans are notorious for morphing colors like that, especially the rainbow ones. You could drop that into someone else's tank and have it turn right back to how it was originally, but that is pretty typical of what I have found with acans.

I have actually had acans bleach out and then color back up..and some have different morphs on the same colony

try to keep them under lower lighting. Most of them prefer a lower lighting to maintain their rainbow colors.

I've had them in the same spot for a long time and they were kool until now. I have them under LEDs. Don't know if they were captive o wild.
