So this may be a dumb question but for me it is worth asking. Is it possible to create a Acan colony. For example if I have 3 acans and put them all on the same rock. WIll they be alright like zoanthids or will they basically kill each other for space.

Same species will be recognized as friends, others, not.

You should be good I have seen nice zoa and acan colony too. the acans keep the zoas in check. most if not all the acans touch or have touched in my tank. No fights.
