Depends on which kind of acan you have.
If you're talking Acan lords, then no, generally speaking. They tend to be fairly peaceful towards their own kind. There are exceptions, of course, but I haven't had many issues with aggression from Lords.
Acan echinata, they absolutely will sting each other. Echinata can sometimes send out mesenterial filaments that are 4-5" long, and they'll start digesting each other where they sit. Not all Echinatas will do it - I've had 5-6 different Echinata frags, and I only observed those on one of them - but they tend to be more aggressive.
