Really starting to like these corals, anyone got experience with keeping them? Also would live to see pictures of them!

Side note, Liveaquaria.com has them listed as peaceful but I have heard that they are expert coral assassins, which is true?

Very aggressive. They'll attack anything too close. They'll expell their guts basically and can reach further then you'd think when attacking. They normally will kill almost anything they engage in battle with. Way more aggressive then lords, bowerbanki or micros. They do come in awesome colors just can't crowd them.

How do they do next to each other? Could I make a "garden" area just for them?

I had an echinata spill his entire insides and attacked and straight killed a nearby chalice. I woke up in the morning and saw it completely attached to the chalice. Once I removed the chalice had white scars going across it and no flesh was left. Them buggers don't mess around.

I wonder why LA lists them as peaceful

here is a pic IMG_7513.JPG

Very nice looking coral!

I believe they can coexist with each other but anything else better beware lol. I've seen them together and even growing together but I've lost chalice and lords to one before.

Well maybe I will have a tank of nothing but them.....will they kill inverts and fish?

Never had issues with fish or inverts with one we had. Like you said before a separate area for just them is fine just leave little extra room beside them from other corals.

Since you love acan lords, now talking echinata.
Yahoo or Google images ultra acan bowerbanki!

I love them all! I've been thinking about getting some.

Honestly I would be perfectly happy if all my corals were some kind of acan lol

In terms of color they are one of my favorite. They will be OK with other enchinatas only. They are beautiful, fast growers and deadly. They do need at least a hands width away from any coral. They will attack any other acan or coral. I love them and keep giving them a chance. But every one was killed another coral. I had to move mine so many times because it would attack everything. Finally it found its happy place. The sump where i keep pandora palys. Mine try to attack a lobo that was 4" away. Its insides actually crept across the sand bed. I watched it and was able to stop the attack.

HOLY CRAP!!!! I am guessing the lord lost that fight.
