Just ordered this piece because of a 35% off sale at Extremecorals. Yes, I’m aware of their enhanced/altered photography and thereby I know what to expect. I’ll post “real” photos of the coral when it arrives tomorrow. Let us not focus on the retailer.
Any advice on keeping these? This is a coral which is entirely new to me. I’ve read what I can online and as is often the case, information is conflicted. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. This is a fairly large piece at 5x5.

I have had one I picked up from Cherry Corals for a few years now. Mine is as low maintenance as any coral I have ever had. It’s under moderate light in a low/moderate flow area. While it’s more than happy to be target fed, I rarely take time to do it and it gets whatever pellets my fish miss during feeding time. Mine is larger than my hand with my fingers spread out.

Very nice looking coral!
They are like Scoly's in that they prefer low water flow and low to medium lighting. Be careful where you place them as they can get big, expanding to about twice their size. They are aggressive and can kill what the come in contact with. Place it the sand with a wide berth from its neighbors, they love to be fed meaty foods too.

Very cool that they get so large. This one I ordered is 5x5, pretty good size. Until this one, I’ve not seen one with this coloration. Have a photo of yours? Thanks for the info!

It’s pretty basic in color but it makes an impact in the tank with its size

Beautiful!!! Pics of these things are always top down, but they look better in shots like that which show depth. Awesome coral!

wow cool coral. was just browsing there site.( after seeing this post) they claim to be the largest online retailer but there collection less than 50 corals?

I am glad you got a beautiful coral tho. please post the "real" photo I am quite curious how much they edited and enhanced the pic. \

Low, low light and low, low flow. My favorite coral.

As mentioned above, low light and low flow, but target feeding them is half the fun, just give'em plenty of room to expand significantly!

As we all know, it’s difficult to capture what we see with a phone camera. This piece of corals photo was actually pretty accurate. It’s a beautiful piece!! I’m actually pretty surprised.

Target feeding? Feeding how/what?

I SUSPEND FEED DAILY WITH FROZEN FOOD TO THE FISH WHICH ACANS ALWAYS GET SOME AND I TARGET WITH CORAL FRENZY OR REEF ROIDS 2x PER WEEK

PLEASE HELP
I'm setting up new Red Sea Max S 650; although been keeping marines for about 10 years but now no holidays in S.Indian anymore so decided to treat myself. Now; I've read that many opinions on Calcium R / or no Calcium R. Lets have the truth. Using RS Pro salt and about 15%'ll get changed x 2 weeks. Is this enough for first 12 months. Love corals and the aquarium will be a proper reefest.

I just got a Metallic Green. Can’t wait to see the changes it can do. My favorite by far
