I bought one for my 20G AIO, and the 1/2” connector is a few hairs to big & the threads won’t catch. Any thoughts on how to overcome this on a live tank?

I’d think drill, but the margin for error isn’t very forgiving. I’ve got one shot & don’t want to ruin my 2 month old tank.

If it's only a hairball you could ream it with a hobby knife just enough for it to thread on, wouldn't even have to drain any water.
