My alkalinity lowers a lot throughout the day, I'm trying to maintain 8-8.2 but it drops to 7.3-7.5 daily, is it fine to go from 7.5-8-8.2 daily or will my corals suffer from it?

That seems like a big daily swing to me, I keep mine a lot more stable. If your alk is going down that fast every day, you should consider to use all for reef, it will help maintain the alk without too much swing.

What species of coral do you have, and are they frags or established colonies? My sps tanks swing about .3 dkh from morning to noon. I adjust my dosers to dose two part much less at night and more often during the photoperiod.

I think there is some uncertainty about the effects of the daily swing.

My suggestion is to split that dosing into a few daily doses and see if there's any apparent difference in the corals after a week. If so, keep it up, and if not, don't bother.
