Have a question about dosing. I am trying to dial in Seachem Fusion 1 & 2 dosing on my new GHL 2.1 Doser. I know the recommended maximum daily increases are listed on the bottles (1.4 dKH I think it is) Is a 0.3 dKH fluctuation in Alkalinity with each dose acceptable? Each pump head can only dose 8 times per day which I wasn’t aware of when I bought it. I’m not using two of the dosing heads yet, but would prefer to use the other two pumps to dose Reef Trace and Reef Plus each a couple of times a week. I can continue to dose Trace & Plus manually and use the other pump heads to dose Fusion 1 & 2 more frequently but would prefer not to. It requires me to remember what day I dosed or God forbid write it down! LOL

They should dose more than 8 times per day.
My 2.1 I have set up to dose alk, calc and mag 12 times a day, every 2 hours with a half hour delay between them. The alk swing I've never measured but I'm sure is hardly worth noting. Some more experienced ghl guys can maybe chime in as I'm sure you can set schedules which dose some pretty small amounts way more than 12 times a day, I just can't remember the numbers. Specific days can be set for specific amounts. From my understanding ghl dosers have very exceptional options for setting schedules.

How are you getting an individual dosing head to dose more than 8 times a day?

Yeah on automatic it will dose up to 150 times per day. Just make sure you set it up so alk/cal don't dose at the same time at some point, try and leave five or more minutes between them.
To answer your question if it was my tank I don't think I would raise more than about .2 in any given day and probably no more than about .8 in a week.

You can stagger the start times, but depending on how many times you dose there could be some overlap. If you dose them the same amount of times and stagger the start time by like ten minutes that will work.
Thanks guys that helped. I set it to automatic and then to dose 24 times a day. I still have a question though, if I set Day Mode to DayIntervals and set the repeat to 7 days does that end after 7 days or go on forever which is what I want? Otherwise I would need to set it to special weekdays and select every day.

You want to set it to one day, not seven. You have it set up to dose every seventh day.
If I set the repeat to 7 yesterday afternoon does that mean it hasn’t dosed at all since midnight? I’ll make that change right now since I changed the Remote Read Only Access to R/W yesterday also. Thanks again for all your help.
