So I am experiencing roughly a 2 degree temp swing over the course of a few days.

I have a SR80 that is controlled via an Archon reefkeeper. I started keeping sps last fall for the first time in many years and am concerned that this may not be healthy for it.

I've noticed that my tank bottoms out around 76.5 during the night and hits 78.5 during the day.
I keep the house at 78, the tank is in the basement with no sunlight.

Is this acceptable in the long run or should I look into a chiller?

^ what they said!!!

My tank runs on 76-78.5 never had an issue with anything!!
I like to think the ocean isn't one consistent temp. So our tanks shouldn't . We're trying to Mimic the reef

Currently my tanks at 72f i need to bump it up but refuse to use a heater. Too risky. Fish seem fine.
