Accidental salinity change may have affected my corals

I have three corals in my new tank, and after they didn't open up for a few days, I checked the salinity and it was at 1.028. Me being delirious at midnight added some freshwater to lower it, but completely forgot about the corals. Is this guaranteed to kill my corals, or could they possibly survive?

They will probably be fine depending on how much you added, but try and correct the salinity back to we’re it should be

And try and keep away from the tank when your ‘delirious’

Out of curiosity, what types of corals are they? Some are more sensitive than others.

A zoanthid, polyp, and a mushroom

your fine as long as it didnt go from like 1.028-1.024 but even then you should be in the clear the ocean supposedly runs at 1.026

Alright, i also checked this morning and the zoanthid is opening up, but the polyp isn’t so far

If it's that 1 time fluctuation and it doesn't happen that drastically again... should be fine. Once the parameters get dialed in, they'll let you know.

give it a few days and just keep an eye on your parameters. stability is key as long as your in the right area param wise your good as long as you keep it stable at least in my opinion.

I think you should be fine.
I have been up to 1.030 and knocked it down 0.004 in an hour. Back to 1.026.
Is really not a lot.
