Hey, so I was moving my nuclear green torch as I placed it in an area with to much flow. When moving it I slipped slamming my finger into it accidentally cutting off 5-8 tentacles at the tips. It’s currently partially retracted. What is the likely hood of it coming back from this healthy?

Absolutely.

It will be fine. My frogspawn ditches tentacles all the time if I accidentally touch it while scrubbing the glass, or even just by moving the scrubber too fast past it. And then it heals like nothing happened. Hammets do it too, just a lot less often.

No problem; to be honest, I have "trimmed" my torches back a little when they became too aggressive and started a war with other corals. I don't think you can hurt them even by hitting with a steel pipe once they become established.

All the years I have had torches I’ve never lost tentacles or at least noticed. Pretty neat I did not know they could be trimmed.

Lol, my version of "polyp bailout" wouldn't necessarily recommend unless you are desperate as I was - couldn't move either coral. This situation may not end well either.
