Ok,

Yesterday I was installing a new T5 Hybrid fixture for my tank. I had to unplug everything so that I could freely drill holes in the stand to mount the light. Got everything plugged back in, or so I thought.

This morning, I heard my temp alarm going off. I checked the temp of my tank, and it was 74. I usually keep it between 76-77.5. I checked the heater, and found that the plug wasn't fully in the power strip. I pushed it the rest of the way in, and the heater came on. Since then, my temp has risen to 77 in just over 4.5 hours. I checked the rest of my parameters, and they are;

SG 1.025
Alk 7.7
Cal 445
NO3 1 ppm
PO4 0.06
Temp 77

Is there anything else I can or should do?

Shouldn't be an issue. The water in your bag when you bring a new fish or coral home almost certainly drops that low or lower just on the car ride, especially in winter.

Shouldn't be an issue. I recently had a power outage for 19+ hours, while I was away. Temps down to 64. Everything survived fine. Minor bleaching on some SPS, but all has since recovered and looks perfect.

Thanks all. :) That's reassuring.

My fish demand that the seat heater be turned on and the A/C be set to precisely 77 degrees.;Joyful
