I just removed my 4x black box leds from my 6 foot tank and replaced it with an AquaticLife 5 foot hybrid 4 bulb fixture with 3x ai hydra 26hds. I ran the BB leds for 10 hours a day with no ramping at about 60% blue and 10% white.

Annoyingly my seneye par meter is being repaired so I dont have use of a par meter.

Do you think I should acclimate to the t5s and if so, what is the best approach? Can I run each side of the AL fixture with just one bulb without causing damage?
Or should I just limit the time the t5s are running each day and slowly increase?

Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

I'd acclimate to the Radions.
The hydras? I had 4 black boxes before and these 3 hydra 26s are mounted about 3 inches higher and id say are quite a lot less powerful. Do you think they need to also be slowly Increased? I assumed they wouldn't ...

Sorry, yes, they Hydras. I guess without a PAR meter you're really just guessing. If it's going to be a bit before you get your Seneye back, you might want to check with local reef clubs to see if they have a PAR meter.

I'll turn the leds down and will ramp them up gradually also. Wont hurt to be cautious. Although they do look visible dimmer than my black boxes did.

I have a par meter now and I've tuned my led and t5 fixture to be exactly the same par as I was achieving before with my black box leds. Do I still need to acclimate to spectrum or is it enough to just match par? Thanks!

Bump! Can anyone confirm that if I match my my new t5 hybrid par to my original BB led par, no acclimation period is required?
