So we know not to blast corals with lights, but rather gradually increase intensity over days/weeks....
I have being wondering about flow, During acclimating process for acro's
Should flow be turned down/lowered, and then increase intensity?

They don’t in my experience care for heavy flow to begin with so turning it down and raising it slowly to a gentle to medium flow imo would be advisable

Kind of depends on the system it came from. I personally do not acclimate for flow or lights and have not had any issues. If the acro came from a 200 PAR system into a 500 PAR system that would be different but most acros are kept in similar environments from tank to tank. I dip new acros and put them into their final place in the DT.

What made me think about it. Was about a month ago I had large order of acros, and half of them rtn withing days with most of them rtn during first 24 hours. I put them in a low light but heavy indirect flow in my frag tank. No dips. I was just thinking if I had less flow during that first week. Would my chanses have being better!?
I guess the way I should ask a quation. On a stressed out acro is More flow better or worse?
