I am going to float the bag in my sump while I slowly add new water to it. My question is how then do I get them from the bag into the tank? I dont want the water from the lfs in my tank. Any ideas?

I am not sure if my nets big enough. I will try though if not I will use my hand the best I can. Didnt know if having them out of the water for a second would kill them. The for the help.....

I used a net that I use to rinse my frozen foods with. Worked well, I have two alive shrimp in my tank.

LOL yeah don't worry about them being in the air. There is no danger even at the 30 second to a minute mark but a minute is starting to push it. I used to have a skunk cleaner who would jump on my hand or arm the second it went into the tank and I had to pick him off and put him back into the tank after I finished what I was doing.

Whenever I acclimate fish or inverts I pour the contents of bag, including specimen into a 5 gallon bucket, then I drip for an hour or so. Then, I scoop the little guy into an acclimation box, then drain the box while he is still in it, then quick dump him in. Usually only a little water getts in the tank, enough that the fish wasn't in air while in the box.
