should be getting my first shipment by mail tom how should i acclimate what would be the best way to do so thanx in advance

I do them the same was I do fish. Drip acclimate for an hour or 2. You may want to dip them in some coralrx to be really safe.

I only float the bags to temp acclimate my corals for at least an hour. Then I put them right into my tank. I don't do it the same way I'd do fish with a temp and drip acclimation method.

We float then drip them for 30-60 min then add coral revive or lugols let em sit another 15 min n place into tank

next day mail, I would suggest the float and add a 1/4 cup tank water every 10 min for 30 min style (bag water turns toxic once opened). If it was from a LFS drip is better.

its going to be alot of bags not sure if i got that many lines can i put all the corals in like one thing and all the water then do the drip? or should i not mix all the bags ?? and how do i exactly do the drip ?? never dont it like that before

I personally float, dip then put in the tank. Unless you can drip acclimate in the tank somehow the water temp is likely to drop causing more harm than good.

I also float mine to temp for about 30 mins then dip them in Coral Rx pro then into the tank.

I float, to temp acclimate, treat in a dip/bath and then place in tank. Absolutely no need for a drip or long term acclimation, with corals, as long as your water parameters are in order.

temp acclimate for 25-30 minutes, dip for 5 minutes in lugols or revive, remove and then add to the tank in a partially shaded area. Do not over do it with corals. It's better to get them out of the water they were shipped in as soon as possible.

Same here

For coral, i float them in the sump or display with lights out for about 45 minutes. Then I dip them as per instructions on my revive or coral rx...then right into the tank. I have read in several places dripping corals can do more damage than good...of course if you use the method I mentioned it is if utmost importance that your water is in good condition and all of your parameters are what the corals prefer.

Wow, I see a lot of going over board. It takes 15 minutes to get the right temp. I hang the bag in my fuge with water dripping in at 2 drips/second for 20-30 minutes, then add the corals and throw out the bag water.

That is s general rule of thumb but not true at all. The amount of time for the water in the bag and the surrounding water to reach an equilibrium temperature is determined by many things...the velocity and temperature of the water in contact with the outside of the bag (convective heat transfer), the conductive property of the bag material (conductive heat transfer), the thickness of the boundary material (bag), and the temperature difference between the tank water and the bag water. Getting real technical you could even figure in the radiative heat transfer from the surrounding walls and such but in this case radiation is negligible.

I don't want to and will not argue the point, just stating the facts.

I will normally float for about 30 min and then check the salinity, if about the same then a dip and into the tank. If off by quite a bit then I dump tank water into the bag for about 15 min and put in tank.
