Acclimating fish from 1.018 to 1.024 salinity

My online retailer is keeping their fishes at 1.018 salinity level and they will be shipped overnight from West Coast to East Coast. I don't want to drip acclimate to avoid ammonia shock. Will it kill the fishes to go from 1.018 to 1.024? If I raised it over time, how long do you think is safe to raise the salinity up to 1.024? Much appreciated. (A pair of clownfish and a dwarf angelfish are being purchased).

The best way is to have a QT set up, and match the salinity in that to what's in the shipping bags. Then you can float for temp and dump them in.

If you are going directly into the display, you are correct to not drip acclimate shipped fishes. You can make up a bucket of water to match the shipped water, and then drip that. I would sure take my time going from 1.018 to 1.024.

What I would do is qt at same salinity and if you have an ato just add saltwater through it. Slow and steady increase
