I have a blue throat trigger who is doing well in my observation tank. I want to transfer him to my display tank. The display is 300 gal and has five green chromes, a fox face, and a yellow eyed kole tang. All well established. We have an acclimation box. I am looking for advice on how to make the transfer.

He/she should be fine, as long as it's healthy, mine competes with a 10" vlamingi. They're pretty hardy and will find a good hiding spot till they get comfortable. Just give it good food at the outset to get it in competition mode for food.

I think acclimation boxes are too small & stressful for a trigger. Any way to partition off a section of the tank with egg crate? Gives the fish more room . Only fish listed that "might" cause probs is the tang .

Just put him in. Mine did great and was swimming around with the other fish and my tangs within the hour.

Thank you! Trigger in his new home. Foxface nipped at him a bit but things peaceful the majority of the time.
