Usually, the company instructs you what to do - based on how they ship. When I have received shrimp before I have just temp acclimated them in the bag - and then removed the water from the bag and dropped the shrimp in the tankHow would i go about doing this as ammonia builds up should i just temp acclimate then drop in I don't have a QT tank atm

Well - there are a couple issues - its not just salinity thats the issue - it can be all the other parameters as well. Second - Though I don't do it this way (as I already described) - if you don't 'drip' acclimate them - they may void any warranty. Third - I would try to order from a company that ships in the evening - and the livestock arrives in the AM (even if a little more expensive) and Fourth - shrimp will build up far less ammonia in the bag than a fish. IMEthing is they instruct to drip acclimate but lets not forget it will probs be in shipping for 24 hours and ammonia build up i have found out they ship at 1.022 salinity and my salinity is 1.023
Curious - what did you do - and what happenedI did a fast acclimation with a shrimp and it didn’t go well at all, and that was just transported for one hour.
