Okay so I have some very aggressive fish in my tank and if I put my new two in they will most likely die so my question is how long can I keep the fish in a acclimation box so that the aggression will go down I don’t want them to die

Tell us what fish you have now and the fish you have in the socialization box. Will help a great deal.

Clowns and especially dottybacks are very aggressive! It may always be a problem. If you want a peaceful tank, maybe think about getting rid of the dottyback if the tank is small. If a large tank, the new additions may find their place in the tank.

You may need to keep the new ones in an acclimation box for a couple of days.

I’m going to try to get of the dottyback any suggestions

@Idoc is correct about the dottyback. They can be very aggressive, especially In a smaller tank with peaceful tank mates. This aggression will not subside with time.

Time to make a choice, re-home the dottyback or re-home the firefish.

You may have to remove your rock to get him out. Use a fish net.

3-4 days in the acclimation box is usually enough time for the old fish to get bored With the new fish. add a day or two for extra aggressive old fish.

45g isn't very big for aggressive fish. You can give it a try using the acclimation box for a few days and then release and see what happens. I have doubts that the dottyback will turn nice, but possibly!

Dartfish/Firefish are extremely nervous and docile fish. They will hide all the time if there's an aggressive fish in the tank. I had an exquisite firefish that hid all the time in a rock hole only coming out to eat. A leopard wrasse and clown would always swim its direction if it came out. Then it disappeared one day and I've never seen it again.
