I moved my clowns to the sump about three weeks ago due to aggression towards a brand new Kole Tang. If left alone they would have killed it. I moved the clowns into an acclimation box in the main DT today.

1. How long can I keep them in the acclimation box?

2. Does this even stand a chance of working?

With that much tank, it should work in order for the fish to determine their spaces. I would leave the clowns in the acclimation box a couple of days and then attempt a release. If they immediately start attacking the tang, then a decision will have to be made whether to keep the clowns.

I put the nori clip right on the front of the box in order to force some interaction. I hope it works. I think I’ll also put dinner extra rock in there to create some more distinct hiding areas.
