hey guys,

so i am home and about to start acclimating the corals, my question is, how should i do this? i wanted to do drip, but it seems that will be harder than with other things because the bags are really small, i feel that i would have to have a reallllly slow drip going for this to be beneficial, but with 7 corals it would take a long time to do this properly....what is the best way to handle this?

i personally just make sure the salinity and temp are the same, and of course dip your corals before you put them in your tank. you dont want to introduce anything regretable

If they all came from same vendor and weren't shipped too long, everythings in decent shape, I've often put them all in the same container and just run one drip. It's a little risky, but better than not doing anything.

And +1 to dipping or adding a dip solution at the end of the acclimation.

i would do the drip mode. i usually just put the corals in a big enough container or bucket and do the 2-3 drop per second rule Test your water for PH in the container before u start the drip the once the ph is the same as your tank its safe to put in

thats what i usually do, but i dont think that i have anything small enough to do that...there is less than a half cup of water in each bag, the corals would be exposed to the air with anything i have...

do you have a measuring cup? Like a 2 cup one? Doesn't need to be anything fancy to work, I use tupperware all the time. Just give it a good thourough rinse in some RO or salt water before using it if you're not sure, and unless you're cleaning your dishes with Mustard Gas, you should be good.

personally first let float the bag 15 min at sump ligths off, whit the less bag water posibble in a recipient add for 15 min a drop per second, and change to 2 drops per second for 15 min ( move the water every five minutes ), at the 30 minutes remove aprox the same amount of water added, and chage to 2-4 drops per second for others 15 min, finally add PROCORAL CURE and let 15 minutes more.
