Hi! So i got a shippiment of crabs and snails from LA and i put them in qt. I acclimated as follows, 1st i checked the silinity and temp of water and then matched the qt to the water they came in and then just dumpped them in there. Is that a issue or do i have to drip acclimate them?

Most people will tell you to drip acclimate. I put mine in a specimen container and slowly add water over a few hours as I remember to.

They also make drip acclimators that do it for you.

Most people just float the bag to match the temp, and then net the fish and place in aquarium.

Try not to dump the water from the store into your tank, as it may contain copper.

If you did this over time and your alk was not too far off from what they were raised in you did the best you could. Do expect some to die off. They can be a bit sensitive to shipping.
