I have two fish coming in tomorrow with different SG, one at 1019 and the other at 1025.

My plan is to set QT at 1019 SG, float the one fish for temp and dump in QT. I will then drip acclimate the fish form 1025 SG down to QT, which is 1019 SG.

How long should I acclimate from 1025 to 1019?

I will use an air stone in bucket

Should I do it any differently???

I would set QT SG @ 1.020. The one coming in @ 1.019 will be fine going directly into 1.020. The other one I would drip acclimate for at least an hour or two. Be sure to temp control the water and provide aeration to the fish being dripped. You’ll also need to use an ammonia reducer, but double check with the vendor that the fish has not been shipped in copper water.

The one at 1019 has copper in water, the one at 1025 no copper. Airstone will be used. I'll heat the room up for acclimation

My LFS owner told me only .02 per 24 hours for reducing SG down, can that be?

Fish can go down in salinity much faster/easier than they can go up. You can go from 1.025 to 1.020 in just a couple of hours (and that's playing it really safe!)
