I've just returned from a fish shop with a Silver Belly Wrasse and a Firefish. My salinity is 34.5 ppt, the water in the bags is 22.0 ppt. Am I likely to kill these fish? I don't have a QT tank, so they have to go in the display.

What kind of fish are they? make sure they’re actually a salt water fish and not brackish. Im no expert by any means but I’d put them in a bucket and do a slow drip acclimation with a heater in the bucket. It being that big of a difference I’d do 1-2 drops per sec till you at least double the water volume.

Float your bag on top of your tank water . Most people drip there tank water in very very slowly when the salinity in the bag is the same as your tank water release your fish and throw the bag water away
