Does anyone know of something that will take the place of acetone for stripping silicone from a tank that has been dismantled. Living in Panama central America the gov. doesn't allow acetone here, guess its because of the drug trade uses it to make cocaine.

is it on glass panes? Ive always just used a new sharp razor blade on glass

Yes a new razor blade works, but I was thinking of something that would completely remove the faint outline of where the silicone was. Guess it would be ok but I read new silicone doesn't stick to old silicone very well. I don't know if i'm being overly cautious or what. My first go at building the glass didn't go very well

Per google:

Vinegar and isopropyl alcohol will also do this. The best way to remove silicone caulk short of using a digestant is to treat it with a silicone sealant remover, WD-40, vinegar or alcohol, wait for it to soften and then attack it with a knife or paint scraper

Nail Polish Remover. Same stuff, legal, and soo expensive (to make a gallon) it would make drugs cost more than bitcoin to use it for that purpose.
