So I’ve seen with the addition of aquatic life, noops, giezman(i hate spellchecking, so yes everything there was spelled wrong lol)

That more and more are going to Led/t5 hybrids.

For those looking for a pure Led solution, how many use multiple types of leds to approximate what a led/t5 hybrid does?

Example i have AI primes, if i wanted to provide some of the same blending effect and fill in light that a hybrid solution provides could I instead.
Add 2-4 orphek or ghl light bars? Perhaps adding them to a canopy where they first had to go through Low dispersion glass? Perhaps even creating a mini reflector with the material choice that housed the light bars?
low dispersion glass has lower chromatic aberration and higher reflectivity to standard glass. Something like say a sheet of borosilicate glass, that has high thermal shock and lower dispersion. And in case the sides of the canopy pods with a polished metal? Could you create a rough approximation if the flat light produced by t5?

Thoughts that go through my head on a Sunday morning.

In short no you can never get the same light from led as t5, the waves also act differently t5 bounces around , and led just shoots in a single direction, its due to the method of ignition. Also they have about 70 more years experience making florescent bulbs vs the decade or so of LED implementation into the hobby. If you wanted LED only solution , chuck the pucks and get all bars , Reefbrite's for example and mix as if they were a t5 bulb , throw 6 on a 18" tank and youll be golden, but to try and get blanket like t5 from pucks is not happening , ever.
