I've had a Achilles tang since January of this year, I noticed that it does some colour shifting he will be swimming up next to the chromis and will go from black to pale white and once he swims away he shifts back to black. I managed to catch it on film. I saw it do it 3 times in a row and only managed to film it once and it stopped doing so after I filmed it unfortunately I can not upload mp4 videos and will upload some screen caps of the video. I know the first thing will be "It could be the lighting changing his colour" but I assure you it is not, I witnessed it 3 time in under 10 minutes and each one was at different spots in the tank and you can see him holding the pale/white colour for 5 seconds or so. Has anyone seen or heard of this before? Thanks

Mine do this as well. It's cool to watch. Mine do it around cleaner shrimp and cleaner wrasse, and also when they're very angry at another fish

Its part of a display to intimidate whichever fish, or in some cases shrimp, is being flashed at.
