I wanna hear how the people that are successfully keeping Achilles Tangs got them to start eating in the beginning. Also what other methods have you found to be successful with this fish? Please post ANY and ALL info!

Well mine died due to popeye in a tank move, but I had one eating wonderfully on my home made food right off the bat. It was skinny at the store so I got a good deal on it and nursed it back to health. It was extremely fat when it got popeye and just didn't pull through![]()
Did you start it out on your homemade food and is your recipe a secret recipe?

DIY Food - With Pictures (Don't open right before eating)
I just didn't feel like reposting all the pics and everything. I have slightly changed up the recipe, but the base is still the same. I no longer add flake food or the black algae stuff. I also make it in larger batches.

Sorry to detract from the OP, just wanted to comment. I'd love to have an Achilles, it's my wife's favorite. Waiting for a couple of years until I upgrade to a larger display, something in the 72" range with hopefully a 36" base.
Gorgeous where did you get it.I would love to see some pics!
