Hey everyone,

My lfs has a beautiful Achilles Tang, right now my tank is old enough or at least i think it is (its about 8 months old), and I would love to get him. The reason Im posting is because I am planning a tank move within the next 6 months, going from 120 to 220, and I dont want to risk losing him. Should I get him or not and hope that I can get another one when I am ready?

Patience is a virtue . . . . Every time I rush something in this hobby it's a disaster.

Im trying to wait but part of me really wants it

I want one as well. Do the research. They die easily due to stress. They need lots of water movement and space. Part of the problem even in quarantine is space and stress. From what I read 120 is too small. Plus moving will stress it as well.

Yeah I didn't get him, gonna wait for the new tank

Probably a good call. I have one. But I lost a couple in QT. They are very difficult fish. Also very parasite prone. They have to be treated in QT, they can not fight off thing like ich. Beautiful fish!

I know they are beautiful, the only my lfs had kept getting ich like every month
