My Achilles tang entered my reef about 8 months now the first 2 months he was fine, then he gained a cloudy eye and has been living with it for about 6 months. I do not have an appropriate sized qt for him so my other option was prazi pro. I am very scared of dosing my sps dominated tank with prazipro don't wanna risk all that $$$. I have been feeding him a wide variety of foods and he is fat and happy. His body is clean 95 percent of the time. Can he still live with a cloudy eye? Dont get me wrong i love my achillies he is the only fish that lets me pet him.

A picture taken under white light would help.

Here is a link to an article I wrote on general fish eye health:

If both eyes had cloudiness I would say definitely dose with prazipro.. With just one eye being cloudy, and having been that way for a long time, the diagnosis leans more towards damage or a cataract. Those of course are not treatable.

I see so for now I think it be safe to leave it but if his other eye gets cloudy then time to take action.
