I purchased a pretty awesome Acid Rain BTA about 2 months ago. The first few days were glorious and it was spread out lookin absolutely stunning, but it soon made a trip through my HOB on my frag tank. After I retrieved it it grabbed a rock immediately when placed back into the tank and then decided to hide. I have tried feeding it and it will not ever open enough to capture anything, plus ive tried krill, shrimp, scallops, silversides, just about everything and no luck of it even trying to grab anything. It looks pretty pitiful but its been this way for a month and half and has not changed. I did manage to get it to stay out and not hide, I actually had to turn off 2 lights on my 4 bulb t5 setup to achieve this. What could be its problem?

Anyone?

Thanks brotha, will do. Its been in one spot for a while so hopefully he's doing better.

I'm guessing it was wild caught and not home aqua cultured? a high percentage of the "acid rains" I've kept just die. they never adapt to home aqua life very well. I've also had a very low success rate at splitting them.

He's actually looking better today but I guess anything is better than what he looked like before
