Ok- WHAT would do this!?!
@WWC I just got an awesome shipment of corals, and everything was settling in perfectly!
Got home from work today to find one Zoa missing, and my Acropora snipped in HALF!!!
Is it this crab?
I also have an emerald crab, and a red small crab… But this guy seems to take small bites out of other things also.
And will my little Acropora be OK?
I am hoping if I move it up out of the sand, it will just continue to grow out from that broken spot?

It is really too bad because they are fun to watch- now that I am looking at this picture, I think he has stuck a piece of on of my other corals to his head . [emoji36]

Decorator crab I had one he was so beat until he started pulling zoas off the frags to put on his back I would move it far away from the frags and soon as I let him go he would run back and start tearing into them
kept it a while in another tank made lil frag rocks for him to decorate with sadly he perished couple months later

My crab has now been adopted by my LFS! ( I giggle at "local" fish store because the closest one is about an hour away)[emoji13]
Anyhow, I will miss him but my tank is probably safer!

Good move. Interesting and a learning experance wrapped up in one thread

Crab shoulda got a piece of that jellybean he woulda been stylin at the lfs lol
