My new 180 g build is turning into a nightmare. Ich, fish deaths in qt and now thes little annoying flatworms. I’ve identified them as Acoel flatworms. I read in this thread:

https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/peroxide-and-the-use-against-flatworm.228032/

That people have successfully used peroxide in conjunction with flatworm exit to eradicate the population.

One thing I have going for me is that the tank is currently fallow due the the aforementioned ich.

I have a pod population bloom, a cleaner shrimp, various snails and several fancy corals. I’ve ordered the flatworm exit but I’m reading conflicting advice on whether I should try to eradicate them or just let them be. I’m strongly leaning towards eradication and implementing new QT procedures for EVERYTHING, not just the fish.

Who’s got some advice, tips, tricks or anything to add from the thread for 2016?

I would appreciate any help or insight.

Here is a pic from the web that is an exact id of the flatworm.

Idk...I have them in my 75 gal. They've never bothered anything. I got a melanarus wrasse and he keeps them in check. I see a few on the glass when I haven't scraped it for a couple days, but otherwise they aren't an issue. I don't like to rock the boat unless I have a really good reason. If you're fallow anyway though, this is probably the best time to get rid of them if they really upset you.
