Guys , I have an acro green possible Bali slimer
It’s been with me 10 days now and it’s almost all brown
My params are a bit out ,
Salinity 1.026
Kh 8.9
Po4 .20
No3 40
Mag 1350
Calcium 480

The acro is 1” of the water surface under a maxspect r6 right under the centre bulb cluster
It started off the first 3 days 6” down when I noticed one side was brown so moved it

Question is, what’s adrift here for it to be brown?
Thanks

it could be the lighting, too low or too high. It could be the high nutrients which will also brown out corals, your nutrients are high for acro's. Acro will sometimes turn brown in a new a tank for a while until it acclimates..... its very hard to say. From the flat water surface I also suspect the flow is pretty low. So, these are a few things for you to consider and review.

I agree.....probably high nutrients on top off being added to a new system....which probably had much lower numbers.

Ok cheers guys, I’m working on the high nutrients as we speak , have calierpa, dsb and vodka dosing

I’ll try and get a better pic but the maxspect is running high blue light so it’s difficult but it’s certainly not dead , small polys are showing

I can say for my tank personally I had browning when too little of light or wrong spectrum.

Your nutrients are very close to mine and I’m getting great colors
Par meter on route

Par 80! No wonder it’s brown

10 days of the new lights and it’s starting to go green
