I got my first Acro frag a Delsawii blue, it arrived pale coloured almost white and I have had it a four weeks and it's now a peachy orange colour. No sign of blue, do they all turn blue or is it based on tank conditions?

It may be bleached or your tank might be lacking NO3. What is your parameters for NO3 and NO4 currently?

Looks happy! Give it some time, im sure the color will come back

Yep, this is fairly typical. Acros often turn white/pale when put in a new environment. In 2-3 months, given the right conditions, it will color up. Just make sure it continues to have polyp extension.

Sorry should have added parameters...

I thought they paled out when bleached, unless it's browning instead? Top photo is yesterday bottom one about about 2 weeks ago.

600l DS + 200l sump

Magnesium 1500
Ammonia 0

Lighting is 2 X AI sol, 1 X AI hydra, 1 x Kessil sky blue, 1 x 165w Chinese black box LED and a metal halide which is only on 2 hours at high noon.

Sump contains bio pellet reactor, Bubble magus NAC6, TMC ozone. Run carbon and phosphate remover and have refugium which grows slow but steady.

Dose Reeflowers enriched Kalk, Reeflowers B-color, F-color, Reeflowers Mag, Reeflowers Calcium. Water changes with NSW every two to three weeks.

Thanks everyone for your replys, this is my first Acro, I think it's got good polyp extension, but colour is nothing like the stock photo so any advice is appreciated.

Your calcium is high in relation to you alk. But the acro looks happy!! Give it a few months

There are many many articles about balance. But the main thing is stability. If ur calc is always that high and stable then I'm sure it's fine just don't let it creep up.
