I have a acro desalwii blue been in the tank few months now, it's def growing because it's encrusted it's plug completely and spreading over the rock (not a lot of branch growth though!) anyway today the polyps which are always nicely extended have fine white filaments coming out them, twice as long as polyps, look like white fluffy tufts, not sure why?

The only changes in the tank recently is I been feeding a daily new sinking LPS pellet coz my picky fish adore and lps go crazy for.

Tank parameters are very stable:

KH/Alk 7.4/2.63.
Cal 459
Magnesium 1400
Phosphate 0.1ppm
Nitrate 0.2ppm
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
SG 1.024
Temp 27C

Photos might help..... apologise for quality my lights are going off and my camera is a joke.

Sometimes they do probably brcause they find something they need and extends polyps in that way
Just verify if tomorrow it extends polyps in normal way
and its not due to some kind of injuries such as light

Lightings not changed, this is same frag in more natural light looking normal.
It did get nipped by a Blenny 10 days ago but looked to have healed quickly after I removed the offending fish.

Hope it's ok,

Still doing it and lights are off now, reminds me of spiderwebs.

Slimming or could they be mesenterial filaments?

Think that is the way of some kinds of acros to catch dom in the water
When the presence of dom is in high amount

I agree, I get this on certain acros in heavy amounts when I feed. Some only get small long tenticles too. I would say meserintial filiments for sure.
