LFS gave me this acro for free to try had for 4 weeks now and haven’t seen really any action out of it still new to the hobby never had any sps so I’m not really sure if it’s alive or what to really do for it (the pics make it seem really dark it’s mostly red ish)

For FREE :0 dont worry its alive :) what lights are you running? As for action, we all wish they would grow faster even what we consider fast growers in the sps world is still very slow when comparing to softies or some lps

Yep free getting pretty friendly with the owner since I’m literally in the store every week the tank I’m running now is also one of his old displays I bought off him to jumpstart me into this addiction lol ,as for lights just the stock biocube 32 lights I have been eyeing up those Steve’s led kits but not tooo fond of the 350$ price tag

350 is on the low end of what you should spend on lights really. Check out the dry goods part of r2r though. There are some great deals. For SPS I wish I went with t5 but I’m using reefbreeders and getting good growth and decent color
