CCCA4245-1AD9-4A5A-AE4D-CAA2FCFD2B45.jpeg so i have an Acro they had been brown for about 2 years. The top of it is finally doing ok & getting some color/polyp extension with a few small bottom sections doing the same.

Problem is the huge colony of montipora is crawling up it & the middle section seems dead or being choked by cyano.

Do I cut it at the bottom of the healthier top section & move it? What do I do with the other half dealing with the monti if I do?

Thanks,

Decisions to be made. If the montipora is damaging the acro, then the acro needs to be moved.

I'd probably cut the top half off and move it, sacrificing the rest to the monti. Even if you could work the whole frag loose, at this point some monti tissue will likely come with it.
