You looking for a specific coral type or a "name" that first coral for sure is a maricultured colony. You can tell from the base, that came off a farm in Fiji probably. They normally come in with a plastic label i.d. attached that will only identify them as "acropora s.p.".

Has something changed, I have not heard that figi was exporting acropora again? If it is, someone please let me know some details.

I was thinking the same thing as sculpin01 in that the Mari piece looks like a divaricata, with some of the coralites pinched all the way to the branch but I think it’s more likely a nasuta.

The small frag is hard to say since it’s so small, could be as stated above or could be a latistella. Post pics once it’s got some good continuous growth and it should be easier to guess.

Could be a nasuta as they seem to be common, but the red polyps are a common divaricata trait.

I’m sticking with efflo. The main branches look like they want to plate and the radial polyps have purple tips, both common for efflorescens.

thanks guys for your thoughts and input.
Not sure if the divaricata is worth 150 bucks though..

"Frags live, colonies die"

If you do buy it, remove the base and chuck it. Look for AEFW eggs. Dip in KCl, then Interceptor (or equivalent). Frag off several branches and put them in other aquaria as back ups.

I am fairly colorblind with certain shades and hues so I was looking at it like they were purple polyps. The fat axial coralites in random branches kinda hinted me to nasuta. But this piece looks to have sat for a while stalled out on no growth. The one branch looks to be coming back though so it might be worth a try for sometime who likes it. I would love to see some better and closer images of the Mari colony under a little whiter light. Then a pic of either grow out some later on.

well, I am not sure if I should buy it as there are several other very nice imports.

The vendor said the divaricata is in his tank for a while and just colored back up slowly now.

There are other aussie corals up for sale which look very tempting..

what is that purple/pink acro? Some type of shortcake?

That’s a nice coral. Maybe A. plana, although I’m not definite. Acropora convexa and Acropora insignia seem less likely.
