Randy there has been multiple people stating that while they are dosing acro power their alkalinity will significantly drop. I just don't get how can an amino acid additive would change alkalinity demand unless there is sonething in acro power that is messing with the balance. What do you think?

in one tank yes but been that way before starting use, and the other tank seems close to even maybe more cal , but every tank is different so who knows but for sure no problems with it here and would an do recommend using it. I have had great results using it with both lps and sps not much on softies so can't commit on that

I do not know what form they supply the amino acids, but if it is an acidified form to prevent bacterial growth in the bottle, that could deplete alkalinity.

Also, if feeding corals makes them grow faster, that would be noticed by an increase in demand (i.e., a drop) in alkalinity.

following. I have been running it for over a year. I dose cal and alk.. I did have to adjust dosing amount but my sps was growing out and the tank was sps heavy.

I use Fuel and really like it. I use half the dose once a week. Great results and no swing in alk. I have an SPS dominated reef

Randy but calcium is staying steady alkalinity Is the only one dropping

That is what appears to happen when you do not meet demand for both, because as a percentage calcium drops far more slowly.

Start at Alk at 8 dKH and calcium at 440 ppm.

Then let corals calcify and you can get to alk at 6.6 dKH and calcium at 430 ppm. That alk drops looks big and the calcium drop is hardly detected with a kit.

But as the product still exist, what do we know about it since?

That's a fair question, but I do not know the answer as I've never used any.
