Acro Strawberry Shortcake - Which would you pick?

Hey guys

there are SSC from 2 different mother colonies available.
I tend to the encrusted frag but it seems that the other has deeper red tips.

Which one would you pick/buy and WHY?

I would go with the second one because...it's healed and lightly encrusting. The first one is very encrusted. I always remove the frag from its plug. One never know what lurks in someone else's tank.

well, thats a good hint brother!
The question is can the second one compete with the encrusted one color wise?

I would go with the first. It's already growing well and survivorship is greater.
I do a dip and pull out a toothbrush and magnify glass and go over it closely.

LOL, pick before they are both gone. Haha.

Small frags almost always show more colorful tips relative to larger frags and is deceiving.

The first frag is healthier and will grow much faster since the encrusting is already done.

I would use the first one 100% without question.

well I was tending to the first aswell..
its only 10 bucks difference..

i mean 40 bucks for the first one is a no-brainer, right?

The thing about buying named corals is you know what you're getting. At least you should. If you go buy a Leng Sy monti cap, it should look like a Leng Sy. Green with the purple rim. Doesn't matter which mother colony it comes from. It's green with purple rim.

The two corals posted above look nothing alike. I'd say one of them isn't a strawberry shortcake
