not sure why both of the acro tips started to bleach. Please see photo. All the coral in the tanks are doing fine with the exception of these two. 20G tank 10 gal sump. Bioweekly 10G water change. 2 part dosing.

That does not look like new growth to me. Looks like burned tips. You can see the stress to the tissue in the other branches. All 3 of those corals are losing tissue.

I don't really see much wrong with your parameters. A small alk swing, but <0.5 dKH shouldn't induce a response like that. How long have you had them? Lighting source? How far away from the lighting are these frags?

Got them for about 3 wks or so. Lights "might" be a little close but I have a par meter and its showing 200-250 pars.

200-250 is ideal. Is it LED an how close? You said all other coral are fine. Are these the only 2 acros?

LED's, about 6" above from the water, and they are about 4-5" below the water. There is another small Acros frag in there and doesn't look burn or anything. Just those. There are other corals in there.

The first coral picture deff looks like the corals been munched on by aefw.
I wouldnt think two Clown Fish would mess with it.

Although it may not be the exact cause of the tip burn which can be cause by many random things. The constant munching on the tissue does not help and is slowly eating away at its immune system. Pest are pretty tricky to eliminate all in one shot, it is good that your acros are frags at this point and dipping all of them would probably be beneficial. You never know what will fall off at any given point. Even tho you do not see bite marks on the other acro does not mean that there aren’t any that scurry across it at night. Also thoroughly check around for eggs. Do a google search and try to pinpoint if you see eggs. This hobby is crazy somethings things may just burn for some reason that we may not know exactly to test for, but atleast this is a start to getting a better understanding. Happen to have a full tank shot so we can get an idea of what everything looks like?

You’re going to have to dip and redip all the corals every few days for several weeks to kill all the AEFW the dip won’t kill their eggs so you have to kill the immature individuals before they can lay more eggs, and here’s the real evil thing about AEFW is that they are born almost mature enough to lay eggs so that means it’s going to be lots of work on your part, but you can beat them. There are lots of threads on here with people who have good experience with beating them. Good luck

Should I just add a six line?

That’s won’t solve your AEFW problem, it might allow you to ”live with it” for a little while but it’s not a solution. The only way to eliminate AEFW is constant and repetitive dipping on a schedule to break their lifecycle. #reefsquad

The coral is fairly stressed as is so hopefully a dip will help it. Make sure your dipping water is as close to the tank temp as possible. A lot of times when people dip in small containers the water will drop temp fairly quick so keep that in mind as to not stress the coral even more. And definitely check for eggs! They are there somewhere. I am not by any means a coral farmer but from the most successful frag tank systems I have seen, they are plumbed to a big supply of water with lots of live rock for bacteria, so there may also be a chance that the tank does not have that much bacteria¿

A Wrasse will help, but not solve the issue. Dip the coral for 5 to 10 min. repeat a few days later. Coralrx is not as strong as Revie coral. You could dip 5 to 10 in Coralrx followed by a 5 min dip in Revie same day. use 3 bowls first Coralrx second bowl saltwater to rinse it with the final bowl with Revie.

Only got coralRx and koralmd right now. Reviving is on its way from BRS
