acropora and nitrates

Hi all. I see that all major coral seller state that acropora corals need very low phosphate and nitrate levels (1-3). Is that true in your experience? My tank has been constantly running on about 10-15 nitrates and although I mainly have soft corals and lsp corals, I would like to try my luck with some easy acroporas. What do you think?

Its very common to run an ulns with acros, but it is still perfectly feasible to run 10 nitrates and be absolutely fine
