I promise I am getting better at keeping my coral stock lists, but 4-5 years ago I was not. Plus, I have the memory of a juvenile goldfish.

This was likely purchased from TSA or WWC, possibly ORA. Picture is under hybrid blue heavy with orange filter. In person color I would describe as the average of what you see in these pics.

@C. Eymann ?

Name is going to be impossible with the memory, but it looks like A. Hyacinthus. There were a lot of tables being imported back then and everybody was naming them.
That is a solid match thank you. ORA Red Planet then. Tough as nails.

Thank you @jda . I don't know how you guys ID things so well.

It is not red enough for Red Planet. Most true ORA RP have some green down the in the middle where they get less light. I doubt that it is red planet.

I just know the stuff that has been common for a few decades. I have seen most of the trends and hot corals of the year... so those are easy to spot. Valida was hot since it has multiple colors, Plana were a wonderful trend with sometimes 4 colors on a single colony, Tables, Millepora (and there was even Prostata back then). If people of today are reefing in a decade, they will always be able to spot a Tenuis.

Took a top down crappy iphone shot. There is a little green in there if you squint your eyes. ;)

Roger that, normal red A. hyacinthus it is then.

I dont think its red planet but it does look very different depending on tank conditions

I would say possibly optimus prime?
I see some pics that do resemble it and others (TSA) that don't. But that is not a name that I recall buying.

As jda was saying, back then, everyone was bringing in red Indo tables and branding them with their own crazy names. Just trying to remember which crazy name I bought.

Totally makes sense!
