I have been reading that this species of Acropora requires very low light. I have placed in an area with about 120 PAR. Does anyone have any experience with this species in relation to light?

It might be OK to keep it alive. I would be more around 200 to have it thrive. Somewhere in the middle would probably have middling results.

Give it a shot if you have a higher light area for a backup.

Hi Thanks for the reply. I included a screenshot of the Seneye par advisory levels for specific SPS species which is where I picked up the recommendation. It does seem low. Do you have this species?

Maybe they are collecting these from a certain place and find them deep? I haven't grown one yet but have been trying to find a nice piece to grow. I think that their low par recommendation is very ridiculous personally. I remember one or two old school guys who had crashes had a colony in their tank but I dont remember it being in any low par areas.... Like many of us keep those now anyways.

I used to have a huge colony of a green and purple grafted one that was on the Tyree LE list. It would handle light like every other SPS... middle of the tank under MH. That is usually 400 PAR, or more. I do not know that it needs that much, but it is a long way from an ideal number of 77.

Just comparing to others on that list, my Millepora does better under more light than less... 190-230 seems awful low to me.

I’d have to agree!

Agree I think I will relocate it, thanks
