Acropora dominant 40 breeder

Two unique pieces

This one was a wild piece it’s shown so many different colors over the past few years I’ve had it.

This is a newer frag I got. Something that I haven’t seen before so I’m excited to see it progress

Top looks like it might be an exquisita, bottom looks like ORA purple loripes.

First one could be A. Exquisita, it's for sure some sort of stag. I don't think the purple one is Loripes, though. The branch tips/axial corallites are too pointed imo.

A cool piece I’ve had for a few years now. I’m pretty sure this one is BC Sodapopinski, but not 100%

Added a blue LED bar to my t5 fixture over the weekend. I have only seen this tank under a full spectrum blend of t5 bulbs since it was set up. The blue light really helps show off the colors on the Tenuis.

Another really cool no name frag that came from a wild indo colony. I like the different polyp colors on this one

How much 2 part are you dosing? I started the same size system about six months ago and follow about the same water change reg. as you. Not as many acros as you yet but planning soon.

I'm dosing on average 12-15ML per day of each. I just manual dose usually once in the morning and once or twice once I get home from work, whatever it needs to keep KH in the mid 7's range. There's only a few corals that really have any size so with the weekly WC my dosing is still pretty minimal.

This coral has had a really odd transformation. Original sale photo of it, and what it looks like now. I’m hoping it will keep changing but I’m not disappointed where it’s at now.

Really wild looking Microclados growing off my overflow box. This frag is maybe 2” below the surface and gets hammered by light and flow.

Beautiful tank, I'm starting up a 40 breeder now. What's your bioload and feeding schedule look like? Also what skimmer are you using?

Thanks! I bought the tank and equipment off someone else and they weren’t sure what model the skimmer is, it’s made by Skimz and supposedly rated for up to 200 gallons.. I have a pretty heavy bio load with 8 fish and about 70-80lbs of real LR. I feed a cube of frozen mysis each day. Lately I’ve been doing a cube and 1/2 to keep up with the growing demand from the corals and fish

Aquacultured Spathulata starting to show and grow. This coral has been with me about 4 years now. Originally came from a tiny wild frag, grew it into a nice little colony and this is one of its children. Picture doesn’t show the colors very well, but it also needs lots of new growth before the real color gradient shows

This Tenuis frag is really starting to stand out from the others. Super rich pinks and greens, even showing some yellows on the body of the frag.

Amazing how it sort of looks like cc highlighter! Where you got it?

40b is six months old and I’m really pleased with how everything is doing. Lots of new growth coming in on corals and overall everything is looking happy.

Been sitting on this spath for over a year it’s one of the few corals I kept from my previous tank, and a very special one. Finally showing some signs of a growth spurt.

40b pest control, nothing gets past these little guys.

Following! What wrasses are these?

Following! What wrasses are these?
Caribbean Yellowheads in their juvenile phase. They are the most aggressive hunters along with Caribbean Bluehead, I’ve found. Not great for tanks with inverts but they keep all coral pests at bay.
