Im trying to figure out what is killing my SPS. I don't have any pest, Parameters are in check, lighting is in check, and I've ruled out everything I can think off. It doesn't matter where in the tank I place them they start by browning out followed by fading out loosing their flesh in random spots until they are dead. Its similar to RTN but it doesn't start at the base or tips, it affects the entire coral at once and it takes about two weeks to kill anything I put in there. It happens to the montiporas also, but the montis don't loose their color, they just begin to fade their tissue away. Have you ever heard of some kind of bacteria or protozoan in the water that can cause this? I have attached my Triton test that came in yesterday, do you see anything in there that can be the cause of this? I have also included a picture of how it looks like in the process of killing my corals. I don't know what else to do, hopefully someone can share something Im missing. My other parameters are as follow:
ALK 8.5
Tem 80
PH 7.9
NO3 2

Can always be an un-seen as well. Had a buddy just catch on that the old mixing pump he has been using for years to mix make up water was leaking a filmy oil into the water that could only be seen with close inspection. At one point I questioned my ato container due to me not knowing its past - where it came from in the begginning and what it was used for - who knows - it was a lil 10g so in the past someone could have had it as QT and used copper treatments.
If you can cancel out pests and water params - look outside the box to continue the search for a problem. Seems to be a wide spread issue.

What lights are you using as stated before - and whats the flow like in there?

Thats good! Never thought about simple stuff like that, I will definitely check everything Im using outside the tank.

Do you use organic carbon dosing? A very small number of people have had issues that may be a pathogenic bacteria that could have been driven by the organic carbon dosing they were using.

Can you give a more detailed description of your system. Pictures of the display tank and the sump can help people to understand your system and come up with ideas to help you.

I would check any faulty equipment like Stray Voltage if you are getting zapped any or sometimes you put your hands in the water that could be the issue. Also if you have any Bacteria like Cyano that could be a concern also, (It doesn't need to be on your corals to kill them it's bacteria so if it's present in the water column it's present to irritate your corals). Also has any pumps or if the tank been used with Copper?

I don't dose any type of carbon or vodka to the tank. The only thing I use is GFO and Activated Carbon in their separate reactors. I have a very simple system, I don't dose anything, just feed the fish.

I checked for stray voltage, got a reading of .04 on the 200 scale, nothing to worry about, but I still put a stray voltage grounding probe in the tank just in case.

I do have some Cyano in the tank, didn't think of it as a big deal but I'll look into that

Your tank is too young for Acros, when you start with dry rocks and without any additives it could take several months, even a year before tank is ready for sensitive corals.

I don't think it's necessary to young I've seen many tanks start off with SPS as have great success over time. The fact that they are just dying without warning is concerning though.

OP is that all Live rock or Dry Rock you have in there?

I started the tank with dry rock and dry sand like I have always done with my other tanks. Seeded with bacteria, waited for cycle to finished and started stocking slowly. I've never had any issues in any other SPS tank I've done the same way before. I admit the tank is young but I don't think it has anything to do with my problem.

Were the pieces maricultured or fragged from a maricultured mother colony?

I have two mariculture pieces, the rest are aquaculture from very respectable vendors from this forum. The mariculture pieces had been at my LFS for over two months before I brought them home and were healthy and happy at the store.

That is going to be a spectacular system some day, what a nice set up!!!!!

Did I miss a specific gravity value anywhere?

Is this a new bottle of Revive?

Hard to tell from the images but are there any other corals such as LPS in the tank? This solely affects sps?

Thanks!
Salinity is at 34.4ppm. The revive bottle is a couple of months old. All my other coral, LPS and softies are doing fine and they are thriving, Whatever it is, just affects SPS
