So my Acropora seems to be peeling from this little area, and it’s white under...
is it dead or do I still have hope?

How long did this take to develop? How old is the coral? Any other acros in the tank and are any of them affected? This could be RTN or STN or it could be predation from a coral pest.

More detail on parameters would be helpful. Other acros suffering as well? How long has tank been set up?

Hard to tell from the pic but is it happening at the base? Best bet now is to frag the healthy portions.

If its peeling as in stn I would frag off the good portions and mount them on a new plug a throw away the dying/peeling sections. This has worked great for me. Some of my larger colonies have regrown from pieces that were stn'ing and fragged off the good portions. I would not wait if indeed you are losing tissue. Good luck. Maybe also dip in an iodine dip the pieces you saved and glued on new plugs before just placing them back in the tank.

i haven’t measured my parameters but I religiously do a 15% water change every Monday. Water already pre made at the aquatics store.

tank has been up 3 months.... maybe I purchased too early?

Sounds like RTN to me. Cut far away from the peeling sections and reattach the cut sections onto frags. Many will still perish, with luck, some will survive and you can continue to regrow that specific coral. The original section that had the peeling will almost certainly perish- I would chuck that piece.
